There has been a number of large REDD+ projects undertaken in Cambodia in the past few years. Recently, Save the Rainforest has reached out to some Cambodian NGOs working with community forest stakeholders whose titled lands are smaller in extent. FLO Cambodia (https://flocambodia.org/), one of these NGOs, asked if we could help them originate a REDD+ project for about 10,000 hectares of protected forest scattered throughout Kratie Province. We answered in the affirmative and put them in touch with Social Carbon (https://www.socialcarbon.org/), which is a nonprofit that has developed a holistic standard for nature-based solutions that is assessed against 6 aspects: carbon, biodiversity, social, financial, human and natural components. Meetings between Social Carbon and FLO Cambodia are now in process. Stay tuned for updates
